FCAIB Governing Board Chairman Visits College

The FCAIB Governing Board Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, visited the College to meet with Management and staff, express support following the recent incident, and reaffirm the Board’s commitment to the institution’s safety, stability and development.

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB), Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, visited the College on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, to meet with the Management and members of the College community.

The visit also provided an opportunity for Sooko to express his concern and support following the recent incident which led to the temporary suspension of academic activities at the College.

Speaking during the visit, Sooko said it had been a while since he last visited the College. He, however, noted that he had remained abreast of developments through regular updates from the Provost, Professor Jonathan J. Atungwu.

He explained that his visit was mainly to see members of the College community, interact with the Management and have a firsthand understanding of the situation at the College.

Sooko also expressed his continued interest in the progress and wellbeing of the institution, assuring the College community of his support as efforts continue to maintain peace and provide a safe environment for staff and students.

During the visit, the Board Chairman interacted with members of the Management and staff present and expressed his readiness to work with the College Management in addressing issues affecting the institution and supporting its continued development.

The visit further showed the Governing Board’s interest in the affairs of the College and its willingness to support Management in its efforts to maintain stability, safety and progress at FCAIB.
