The department of the Agricultural Extension and Management was established in 2011. The Agricultural Extension and Management Programme is designed to produce technically competent agricultural manpower to carry out extension works among the rural populace, administrative and financial management of agricultural enterprises.
At the end of the programme, the Diplomates should be able to carry out extension work among the rural populace; organise agricultural cooperatives and exhibitions; carry out financial survey and evaluation of a proposed or existing agricultural enterprise and make recommendations; provide administrative leadership in all sizes of agricultural enterprises; market farm products and farming tools and equipment; and assisting agricultural management research.
The HND programme runs for two academic sessions of two semesters each (four semesters).
The current Head of the Department is Mr Eyitayo Atilade Oluade. He has a Bachelor of Agriculture from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and a Master of Science in Agricultural Extension from the University of Ibadan.
